Amira Ćerimagić is a physician, a specialist in clinical immunology, born in Sarajevo where she works and lives with her husband and four children. Amira began her education at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo, where she laid the foundation of her medical career. Afterwards, she continued her academic pursuits at the Faculty of Islamic Sciences, in the fields of Theology and Religious Pedagogy, showing her interest in an interdisciplinary approach to the human being as a whole of mind and body.
Her previous professional experience includes working in the public health sector, specifically as a young doctor at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, working in academia as an assistant in the subjects of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Sarajevo, and in the field of scientific publishing as an assistant editor at the Bosnian medical journal, Bosnian Journal of Basic Biomedical Sciences. For 15 years, she has been active in the non-governmental sector through activism, especially in the area of patient rights and maternity rights, and as the secretary of the Association of Immunologists in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the last few years, she has shifted her work focus to the private sector, from managing a company in the field of medical aids to her current position as an immunology consultant. With significant work experience in various positions, Amira has gained valuable experience in many aspects of medical practice and understanding of the patient’s journey and shortcomings in the health system, with a strong desire to individualize patient approach, empower through information and understanding of their rights, and to ease their path to diagnosis and treatment. Her expertise is particularly noted in the field of immunology and maternal care, where she actively participated in international research projects and published a series of scientific papers in reputable medical journals. As the owner of “Immuno Center”, Amira stands out as a leader in her field, combining her academic knowledge with entrepreneurial spirit. Her membership and active participation in numerous national and international associations further confirm her dedication to progress in the field of clinical immunology. Amira has also shown her commitment to continuous professional development through active participation in various conferences and exchanges, spreading her knowledge and contributing to the international medical community. Science and research are among the primary goals and missions of “Immuno Center”.
